Beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, LES adopted GO Math! for all students in grades K – 5. GO Math! is aligned to the Common Core State Standards and provides engaging and interactive learning experiences that allow every student to develop the skills to think critically and apply their math knowledge
GO Math! combines 21st-century educational technology with modern content, dynamic interactivities, and a variety of instructional videos to engage all students at appropriate levels of depth and rigor.
Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, LES adopted Journeys for all students in grades K-5. Journeys is aligned to the Common Core State Standards and is built upon a research-based instructional design.
Journeys weaves the skills of close reading into a practical routine that is designed to have students read and reread for a variety of purposes, giving students more time to dig deeper into the text. Journeys uses authentic text to anchor the core instruction giving students the tools they need to develop close reading skills. Tools such as highlighting text, taking notes reading, re-reading, note-taking, and text annotation empower students to read any rigorous text.
As part of our Social Studies curriculum, LES embeds the curriculum developed through the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center’s special exhibition, 100 Years of State and Federal Policy: The Impact on Pueblo Nations supported by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the Leadership Institute at the Santa Fe Indian School. The curriculum project was created to provide all educators with thoughtful unit plans on the often complex political, social-cultural, and economic history of the Pueblo Indian Nations of New Mexico between 1912 and 2012. The curriculum serves as a counter-narrative to the presentation of the history of New Mexico and works to strengthen the identity of Native American students. At the center of the curriculum are concepts and core values that have operated as vehicles for resistance, emancipation, and transformation for our Pueblo People as they maintain their cultural identity and exercise sovereignty in the face of colonizing measures.

Imagine Learning Language & Literacy is used with all students in grades K-2 and for students who need additional support in language and literacy skills in grades 3-5. MobyMax Personalized Learning includes 27 complete subjects covering all grades between kindergarten and eighth grade.

LES Staff is currently engaged in a book study based on the book, Mathematical Mindsets, by Dr. Jo Boaler. Mathematical Mindsets provides practical strategies and activities to help teachers and parents show all children, even those who are convinced that they are bad at math that they can enjoy and succeed in math. Jo Boaler—Stanford researcher, professor of math education, and expert on math learning—has studied why students do not like math and often fail in math classes. This book bridges shares research findings, practical activities, and advice.

ABCmouse.com is a subscription service that helps kids learn to read through phonics, and teaches lessons in math, social studies, art, music, and much more. Students in the primary grades have log-ins through their teacher’s accounts.
Prodigy has math content for grades 1-8 in all major topics for math. A diagnostic test places students in the correct level to ensure that students succeed at their own pace. Students log in through their teacher’s account to access games and activities that address over 1200 crucial math skills.
Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empowers learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. Content areas include math, science, computer programming, history, art history, economics, and more.
Their math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps. They have also partnered with institutions like NASA, The Museum of Modern Art, The California Academy of Sciences, and MIT to offer specialized content. Students log in through their teacher’s accounts to access the content.
